Welcome to my world...

Beauty can come from anywhere, and can be the thing, or the creation of the thing...
It's not all about makeup. I've been talking about a change on this blog for quite a while now, but change can be a tough trip to make. We moved house not too long ago, and I've had a bit of a rest from makeup for the winter...time to bring things into perspective.
Reading so many other beauty blogs, I am often saddened to feel like just another customer being bombarded with lustings after products that I don't need and hype I don't want. In fact, I've begun to wonder if I wasn't falling into the same pit. So I thought long and hard about what I wanted to promote and portray on this blog.
The beginnings of dreamcatchers that have been on mind for months...and on my Pinterest boards, too!
To the readers who have told me how my blog posts have influenced their shopping choices: thank you! and you have no idea what your comments sparked. I thought about how I could display my integrity best; how I could show you what my life is actually like, and how fashion, home and beauty choices play out on my stage.
After a bit of crafting in the garden, I may require a manicure... and a cup of tea!
My life is not ridiculously glamourous, but I find moments in the day to treat myself to something luxurious...and that, my dears, is a relative term. I think that's what we're all looking for in some way: our own glamour, our own luxury, and our own 'stardom'. So this is me being a star in my little galaxy. I make wreaths and dream catchers, and the occasional teepee. I work with amazing talents, and often in amazing places, and I allow myself to be inspired and strive to create beautiful images in my life: at work and at home.
The meditation I experience while working in the garden puts me in a very good space. I feel like I've accomplished something. Too often we come away from a day of work and feel as though we haven't really made any progress. But in the garden, even if I just rake some leaves, it feels pretty good to get something done.
So, you will always see posts about makeup and skincare that I work with, and that I use at home, but you will also start seeing posts about other ways that I try to express my sense of beauty: home, gardening and (brave woman) fashion! I hope that you will stay with me on this journey...and on occasion please do leave a comment to let me know your thoughts. If you're on Instagram, then do visit for quick updates and (hopefully) inspiring photos. Thanks for reading!
